About Wagon Wheel
A Brief History
Started in 1952 by Vito Cannalonga and Nicholas “Nick” Cannalonga, Sr., Wagon Wheel Nursery specialized in landscape maintenance. In 1958, Wagon Wheel moved to its current location on Waltham Street in Lexington and expanded to a garden center and nursery as it remained until 1994 when the farmstand was added. In the meantime, a third generation of ownership emerged when brothers Nick, Jr. and Larry entered the business. In 2000, the old building was leveled to make way for the brand new, post and beam farmstand that stands today.

Wagon Wheel prides itself on being a family business. Our staff is an extended family that strives to offer our customers the personal service that is not possible at larger stores these days. At Wagon Wheel, the staff is on a first name basis with many customers and even knows their buying habits. We try to go the extra step to make your experience pleasant. Moreover, you can feel good about supporting a local business and keeping the tradition of a Massachusetts roadside stand alive!
